HPC senior managers worked collectively for more than 90 years at major Midwestern utilities, in particular NSP, and Xcel Energy.
Formed in 2003, HPC leverages senior level utility management expertise with capital access through the association with The Hogan Company.
Our senior management team boasts members who have:
- Led the energy distribution and transmission for Xcel Energy, the fourth largest gas and electric utility in a 12 state region.
- Managed capital assets worth $3 billion, capital budgets of $550 million and operating budgets of $370 million.
- Implemented a five year, $250 million technology program resulting in lower operating costs and substantial improvements to customer service.
- Operated NSP's distribution at a cost of 10 to 15 percent less than in the past while improving operational performance.
- Helped NSP earn a number 2 ranking for operational excellence from JD Power in the category of electric utilities in 2000.
- Developed a matrix management model and introduced balanced scorecards, performance metrics, employee survey and business planning processes.
